Toronto- Senior Underwriter

Position: Toronto-Based Senior Underwriter Role
Step into a Senior Underwriter position with CHES Special Risk in Toronto, where you’ll work part-time in a hybrid capacity. This role requires strong underwriting and sales skills in Property & Casualty sectors.

In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll be responsible for underwriting new business and maintaining existing client relationships. You’ll also develop strategies for the Medical Malpractice book and monitor broker performance. A solid background with 4-5 years in underwriting is crucial for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite and negotiate new business effectively

• Maintain a productive renewal book

• Achieve assigned monthly sales goals consistently

• Monitor portfolio risks and adjust as needed

• Report underwriting results to senior management

Requirements:

• 4-5 years of commercial underwriting experience required

• RIBO/CIP/FCIP designations preferred

• Experience with professional liability insurance

• Excellent skills in communication and problem-solving

• Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively
