We're searching for a dynamic leader to build a Marine insurance portfolio from the ground up. With access to strong international capabilities, you will engage in underwriting complex risks and establish critical broker relationships. Your expertise will shape underwriting appetite and practices in this vital role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the Marine underwriting strategy
• Underwrite large, complex corporate Marine risks
• Define guidelines and referral frameworks with teams
• Build a network of broker relationships across Canada
• Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to maintain profitability
Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in commercial underwriting
• Proven track record in Marine and specialty lines
• Strong Canadian market relationships and brand recognition
• Comfort in external visibility for Marine representation
• CIP or equivalent is required; CRM is an asset
