** Senior Claims Specialist - Casualty & Specialty
** to join our Canada Claims Team. This role involves direct handling of complex primary and excess claims under our General Liability, Design Professional Errors & Omissions and other specialty policies. The successful candidate will bring strong technical claims expertise, sound judgement and the ability to navigate complex coverage, liability and damages, and litigation issues.  This individual will work closely with insureds, brokers, external counsel, underwriting partners and claims leadership to drive claims toward efficient and appropriate resolution.
** This role will be responsible for:
** Direct handling primary and excess casualty and specialty claims, including claims under General Liability, Design Professional E&O, Miscellaneous E&O and other specialty policies.

Investigating and analyzing liability, damages and insurance coverage issues.

Drafting and communicating clear, well-supported coverage positions and settlement rationales to insureds, brokers and legal counsel.

Assessing exposure, establishing and maintaining accurate reserves, and strategically guiding litigated and non-litigated matters towards efficient resolution.

Assigning and managing external vendors including legal counsel by providing budget and billing oversight, driving litigation strategy, and collaborating with internal Vendor Management teams to enhance cost management efforts.
