AXIS Capital is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist for direct handling of primary and excess casualty claims. Candidates should possess 5-7+ years of experience in claims handling with a strong knack for investigation and negotiation. This role emphasizes high standards in claims analysis, stakeholder communication, and serves as a mentor to peers while enhancing operational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage primary and excess casualty claims efficiently
• Analyze liability, damages, and insurance coverage issues
• Draft and communicate clear claims positions and rationales
• Collaborate strategically with insureds and defence counsel
• Maintain detailed documentation for claims decisions
Requirements:
• 5-7+ years in claims handling and litigation experience
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and investigative skills
• In-depth knowledge of casualty and specialty lines
• Law or business degree is preferred
• Bilingual skills in French are advantageous
