Intact is seeking an Underwriter, open to different experience levels, to join their Specialty Solutions team. Candidates will support brokers, recommend solutions for quotes, and participate in industry events. This role involves significant collaboration and offers a pathway to develop in the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze requests for quotes and renewals
• Support brokers on underwriting and rating policies
• Negotiate to maintain relationships in insurance
• Prepare quotes for new business and renewals
• Handle policy transactions including cancellations
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in insurance
• Strong Excel knowledge is an asset
• CIP designation or in progress preferred
• Eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
