We have the following job opportunity in our Toronto office:

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to manage the Property Facultative portfolio in Canada. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Selecting, pricing and underwriting facultative property business
• Marketing to existing and potential clients across Canada
• Producing quarterly and annual reports as well as various departmental budgets
• Demonstrating sound underwriting skills, and is adept in the application of rates, forms, pricing structures, terms and conditions
• Staying up to date on industry dynamics and policy form coverages

• Minimum of 5+ years as an underwriter in property facultative reinsurance
• Proven track record of relationship building in the Canadian P&C market
• Proven experience underwriting property business with an emphasis on property facultative
• Experience managing an underwriting portfolio and familiarity with common property risks
• Ability to analyze and evaluate contract language
• Ability to work autonomously with decision making authority
• Written and Oral fluency in French is a plus
• Solid understanding of the cause-effect relationship of decisions and their impact on the business
• Strong interpersonal, communication, excel and word skills

This position is located in our Toronto office and is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office per week, and 2 days remote.
