Position: Community Interpreter English/Indonesian Role
Join MCIS Language Solutions as a freelance interpreter and support diverse communities by providing essential English and Indonesian interpretation services.

Your role will ensure effective communication in critical settings like healthcare and law enforcement.

This part-time, casual freelance position requires your fluency in both languages to facilitate communication and support individuals with limited English proficiency. You will interpret in sensitive situations, read and translate documents, and complete assignments remotely or on-site, enhancing access to needed services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate interpretation in high-pressure environments

• Exhibit cultural awareness in communication

• Read and orally translate medical and legal documents

• Assist vulnerable populations in navigating systems

• Travel to various locations for assignments

Requirements:

• Required fluency in English and Indonesian

• Ability to interpret written documents accurately

• Strong soft skills including patience and empathy

• Access to reliable transportation for travel

• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
