Translator-French​/English​/Banking

Are you a bilingual translator with a passion for internal financial content?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Translator-French/English/Banking. This position involves supporting internal procedures and communication efforts across various departments, working within an Agile team environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a close-knit team, ensuring clear and accurate translation of internal documentation and procedures to facilitate seamless communication within the organization.

Pay rate range (CAD): $44.93/hr – $53.91/hr

Responsibilities

• Translate written and spoken materials from French to English and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and clarity
• Review and proofread translated content for consistency and quality
• Adapt content for appropriate cultural contexts and internal use
• Support the development and maintenance of translation memories and glossaries using MemoQ and Multiterm
• Collaborate with content creators and project teams to ensure timely delivery of translated materials
• Assist in editing and localization of internal procedures, policies, and communication documents
• Contribute to continuous improvement of translation processes and tools

Desired Skill-Set

• 3+ years translation experience, with expertise in translating internal corporate content
• Proficiency in translation memory software, specifically MemoQ and Multiterm
• Expert-level French and fluent English language skills
• Bachelor's degree in translation, languages, or related field
• Strong understanding of internal corporate procedures and processes
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and team orientation

Nice to Have

• Experience working with HTML and Share Point
• Knowledge of Jira and Service Now platforms
• Experience supporting large teams within an Agile environment
• Previous experience collaborating with translation vendors
• Familiarity with financial or banking internal content
