Cartel Inc. is expanding its litigation team and seeks an experienced associate with insurance defense knowledge. You will manage multifaceted cases, providing strategic advice and engaging in advocacy work from mediations to courtroom appearances. This role is tailored for a lawyer eager to grow their expertise in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and file pleadings and legal opinions
• Engage in mediation and settlement negotiations
• Conduct legal research and write advocacy materials
• Manage cases independently and attend court hearings
• Liaise with clients and opposing counsel
Requirements:
• Licensed in Ontario to practice law
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills
• Client-focused with strong communication abilities
Experience comprehensive litigation and mentorship in insurance defence with Cartel Inc.
