Join Open Text as a Senior Legal Counsel overseeing global commercial litigation and compliance. In this role, you will support complex legal needs and work with top-tier global companies.
As a key member of Open Text’s in-house legal team, you will report directly to the VP & GC of Legal HR, Litigation, Ethics & Compliance. You will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills and a client-oriented mindset while addressing the organization's legal requirements. Your work will touch on significant international litigation and compliance issues, shaping the future of digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage global commercial litigation matters with external counsel
• Provide commercial litigation risk assessments and support
• Collaborate on cross-border mergers and corporate initiatives
• Maintain ties with business and sales teams globally
• Advise on software compliance and related legal issues
Requirements:
• J.D. with 3-8 years in commercial litigation
• Licensed to practice law in Canada
• Knowledge of software licensing and compliance
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Fluency in English; additional European languages preferred
