Sourcing Specialist

Position: Sourcing Specialist for Owens Corning
Become a Sourcing Specialist with Owens Corning supporting Toronto and Edmonton plants. This pivotal role focuses on MRO sourcing and optimizing supplier relationships within compliance.
As a Sourcing Specialist I, you will work directly with the Controller and Operations Leader to facilitate procurement and inventory management. Key tasks include managing purchase orders in SAP and evaluating vendor performance to ensure high service levels. Your expert skills will ensure materials are available in a cost-effective manner that aligns with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source necessary parts using best practices to optimize costs

• Create and manage purchase orders efficiently in SAP

• Run daily MRP reports to process required orders

• Evaluate vendor quotations and oversee supplier performance

• Maintain data integrity in SAP and resolve invoicing issues
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field

• Experience in manufacturing plant sourcing

• Proficient in SAP procurement processes

• Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
