What to Expect

The role will provide leadership in applying best practices and efficient processes to ensure the availability of finished goods at the right stock locations with high freshness, ensuring the required level of customer service while optimizing total Delivered Cost (TDC) and ensuring a customer-centric mindset. This role will execute defined Monthly Business Planning Processes including S&OP and S&OE within the category & operational teams, covering end-to-end Supply Planning activities.

day in the life

The Manager leads a team of category supply, inventory, material requirements planning (MRP), and material production scheduling (MPS) planners for a specific market/category. They apply best practices to ensure availability of finished goods at the right stock locations with high freshness, optimizing TDC and maintaining a customer and consumer-centric mindset. They contribute to Strategic (3 years+) and Tactical (18 months) Business Planning via Monthly Business Planning.

The role acts as lead integrator within Integrated Planning Leadership (IP LT), interacting with Demand Planning Teams and other stakeholders (Warehousing, Transportation, Customer-facing teams). It also participates in the BU Operational Leadership team (BU OLT) and represents the Category Demand & Supply Planning teams on longer-term and mid-term planning and execution, interacting with Leadership, Planning & Operations leads and BEO.

Role Requirements

End-to-End Supply Planning Performance & Analytics

  • Manage and maintain a skilled, motivated team of Supply, MRP, MPS and deployment planners to develop optimized Supply & Inventory plans across networks to ensure reliable, sustainable supply and adherence to KPIs.
  • Improve the quality of Supply Plans and efficiency of production based on category demand patterns, portfolio/product considerations, and commercialization plans.
  • Lead orchestration and improvement through category supply planning strategies to achieve target fill rates and control excess inventory.
  • Drive root cause analysis with key partners to continually improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning Manager, planners, BU Operations Leads and stakeholders on issue escalations to drive improvements and scalable solutions.
  • Support long-term sourcing across global networks and capacity planning for local factories where applicable.

Collaboration & cross-functional Integration on key operational work streams

  • Manage the relationship and information flow between Integrated Planning, internal partners (Order to Cash, Logistics, External Manufacturing, Procurement, Technical Services) and external stakeholders (Suppliers & Third-Party Manufacturers).
  • Manage relationships with Inter-Market Producers and Receivers for efficient replenishment.
  • Contribute to Nestlé Competitive Planning through ICP, MBP, Dynamic Forecast processes and Annual Volume Commitment.

Planning Team Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with Demand Planning and SP Excellence & Digital Leaders.
