About the Role
The Aftermarket Parts Specialist owns sourcing and ordering of aftermarket and used parts to support high volume vehicle reconditioning. This role requires strong parts knowledge, vendor familiarity, and the ability to make fast, cost‑effective decisions across multiple sourcing channels.
You will play a critical role in ensuring production flow by getting the right parts, at the right price, at the right time.
What You’ll Do- Source, quote, and order aftermarket and used parts across a wide range of makes and models;
- Evaluate multiple vendor options including aftermarket suppliers and used parts networks to balance cost, quality, and availability;
- Manage end‑to‑end parts ordering workflow including receiving, verification, and organization;
- Proactively resolve backorders, substitutions, and part discrepancies;
- Maintain accurate tracking of parts through inventory and ordering systems;
- Ensure production teams receive parts on time to meet reconditioning SLAs;
- Monitor inventory levels and identify gaps or risks to production flow;
- Build and maintain relationships with aftermarket vendors and used parts suppliers (recyclers, salvage networks, etc.);
- Identify opportunities to reduce parts cost through smarter sourcing and vendor selection;
- Support continuous improvement of parts processes and standardization.
- 10+ years of hands‑on automotive parts desk experience;
- Strong knowledge of aftermarket and used parts ecosystems, including recyclers and alternative sourcing channels;
- Proven experience with high‑volume parts ordering in a production or retail environment;
- Demonstrated ability to source parts quickly and accurately across multiple vendors and systems;
- Deep understanding of vehicle components and part compatibility;
- Strong judgment in balancing cost vs quality vs turnaround time;
- High attention to detail and accuracy in ordering and receiving;
- Comfortable troubleshooting issues including incorrect parts, delays, and returns;
- Experience with parts catalog and ordering systems (CDK, Reynolds, or similar);
- Valid Ontario driver’s license (G2 minimum) with clean abstract;
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Experience in high‑volume reconditioning or multi‑location operations;
- Vendor negotiation or pricing experience;
- Exposure to inventory planning or procurement strategy.
- Real ownership over parts sourcing decisions that impact cost and speed;
- Direct impact on production throughput and vehicle quality;

Wage: $20.00 to $35.00 per hour
