The Sourcing Manager will work closely with business areas to identify sourcing needs, evaluate suppliers, negotiate and manage contracts, and monitor compliance and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assess sourcing opportunities and supply markets to develop and implement sourcing strategies.
Collaborate with business areas to define requirements and identify suppliers that meet specifications and quality standards.
Execute strategic sourcing best practices, including negotiation, RFx processes, supplier evaluation, and cost optimization.
Negotiate supplier contracts to ensure the best value for products and services.
Maintain standard rate cards for negotiated contracts and benchmark market rates.
Manage supplier relationships, collect and analyze performance data, and recommend improvements.
Track and report cost savings, performance metrics, and contract compliance.
Identify category-related cost‑saving opportunities, such as specification rationalization or demand management.
Support cross‑functional initiatives to address business challenges and enhance competitive advantage.
Monitor purchase orders, vendor service, delivery schedules, and product quality.
Provide guidance to Sourcing Analysts, including setting performance expectations and reviewing outcomes.
Experience and Qualifications
3–7 years of strategic sourcing experience, including contract negotiation, competitive price analysis, supplier relationship management, and performance tracking.
Broad sourcing experience across multiple indirect goods and services categories, including transportation, courier services, warehousing, distribution, and reverse logistics.
College degree in business or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
Experience with sourcing/procurement technology such as Ariba, Coupa, or Keelvar.
Deep knowledge of sourcing best practices, including reverse auctions, online bidding, and supplier performance scorecards.
CPM certification is a plus.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to interact effectively across cross‑functional teams and all levels of management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and high‑level analytical tools.
Highly organized, professional, self‑motivated, and a team player.
