The RoleThis position is an integral part of the Canada Supply Chain Team and serves as a key partner to the broader Canada Ice Cream community. It oversees the end‑to‑end order‑to‑cash logistics process for direct‑store‑delivery customers, supports execution, reporting, and analysis of sales performance across assigned markets, and manages logistics costs against budget. The role collaborates closely with distributors, warehouse operations, and cross‑functional teams to ensure service targets are met and continuous improvement is achieved.
Responsibilities- Logistics Operational Management: Foster strong relationships with distributors, coordinate with warehouses and transportation providers to meet order lead‑times, ensure on‑time deliveries, and promote effective truckload utilization. Support deployment from distribution centers and the sourcing unit, and drive SOP compliance.
- Financial Control: Monitor distribution costs, manage accruals, validate and process invoices (transport, fuel, distributor warehousing) on a weekly/monthly basis, identify large variances, and act to control future costs. Review and validate claims for buy‑back credits and contribute to distribution cost budgeting.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide KPIs, meet regularly with call center and distribution partners to close gaps, develop loss trees, and define action plans. Analyse KPI losses with Warehouse, Carriers, Customer team, and Reporting units.
- Reporting: Run SAP/SOCS reports to identify incomplete sales orders, maintain data, monitor on‑time adherence, resolve exception reports, and manage unconfirmed orders in the SOCS system.
- Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Align with CD, planning, warehousing to close gaps, review promotions, stock issues, and critical sales order information. Coordinate with Customer Development/Call Center on upcoming promotions. - Sales Reporting and Data Analytics: Perform ongoing market analysis, summarize quarterly buy‑sell reports for rebates, validate strategies, and use data to recommend actions. Consolidate credit management process and promotional invoices monthly, identify opportunities, and guide distribution points. Interpret dispute reports to assess root causes and recommend corrective actions. Present insights via PowerBI.
- Sales Program Execution: Drive Perfect Store conditions, create incentive promotions, ensure merchandising standards, maintain knowledge of forecasting, mix management, territory and route management systems, and spend time in trade with Sales Reps.
- Enablers: Establish a positive, collaborative relationship with customers, plan collaboratively with Planning and Customer Development to ensure sales growth, and work closely with transportation carriers to guarantee on‑time delivery.
- Manage multiple customers and priorities in a high‑volume, tight‐lead‑time environment. Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for month‑end or project cut‑over activities.
- 5+ years of experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and customer‑facing roles.
- Proven experience in direct‑to‑store delivery operations.
- Strong ability to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Deep understanding of logistics processes and performance KPIs.
- Strong analytical skills – able to analyse large data sets, create ad‑hoc reports, and validate customer files.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Fluency in French is required.
