Our client is a highly respected international logistics organization with a strong Canadian presence and a long history of helping businesses move goods with accuracy, care, and confidence.

*** Prefer evening hours and having Friday and Saturday free? This permanent, full-time role runs from Sunday through Thursday, from 4 p.m. to midnight.***

Global Reach, Local Accountability

This is an organization with the scale, systems, and service depth to support complex supply chains across multiple modes of transportation. At the same time, its Canadian operations remain close enough to the customer to make practical decisions, solve problems quickly, and build long-term relationships.

Logistics With Standards

The company places a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, safety, and dependable service. Customers rely on them not simply to move freight, but to protect timelines, manage complexity, and keep business moving when transportation challenges arise.

A Place to Lead and Build

For the right logistics leader, this is an opportunity to join a stable, established organization where operational discipline, commercial thinking, and people leadership all matter. It is a role for someone who enjoys improving how a department performs, how a team works together, and how customers experience the business.

Compensation

This permanent, full-time position offers:

  • An annual salary of $60,000 to $70,000
  • Medical, dental and vision benefits
  • Company-matched RRSP and DPSP programs
  • Paid vacation and sick days
  • Continued learning and professional growth opportunities
  • Long-term stability with an established logistics employer
  • A hybrid work model with four days each week in the office
  • A Sunday-to-Thursday schedule from 4 p.m. until midnight
  • Fridays and Saturdays off each week

* The stated compensation range reflects the full scope of the role as currently structured and is provided in accordance with pay transparency requirements. Offers are determined based on relevant experience, demonstrated skills, internal equity, and alignment with the role’s requirements. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates who fully meet all requirements and qualifications outlined in this posting and the official job description.*

The

Opportunity

By late afternoon, there is still plenty happening in customs brokerage.

Shipments are arriving. Documents are being reviewed. Clients need answers. A classification, permit or tax decision may determine whether freight keeps moving or sits waiting for clarification.

That is where this evening-shift Customs Specialist comes in.

You will provide knowledgeable customs support during hours when good judgment and dependable follow-through matter. You will work through entries, classifications and compliance questions, help solve operational issues and give clients and colleagues clear guidance about what is required.

This is not a role where every answer will be handed to you. There will be files that require research, situations where several rules may apply and deadlines that cannot simply be pushed to the following morning.

The right person will be comfortable assessing the facts, making a reasoned decision and asking the right questions when something does not add up.

The schedule runs Sunday through Thursday, giving you Friday and Saturday off. For someone who naturally prefers later hours or likes having those two days together, it offers a practical alternative to the usual Monday-to-Friday routine.

Position Description

You will work across the customs-entry process, from reviewing shipment information and determining tariff treatment to completing entries and helping resolve questions from clients and internal teams.

  • Releasing, rating, classifying and accounting for entries moving by air, ocean, truck or other transportation modes
  • Researching the correct HS classification for a new product or part
  • Determining whether a Chapter 99 provision applies
  • Confirming the correct GST or HST exemption, Order in Council or other customs treatment
  • Assessing whether excise tax or SIMA duties are payable
  • Preparing a temporary or voluntary entry
  • Checking whether a shipment meets Participating Government Agency…
