About the role As a Specialist in Supply Planning at Mejuri, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and health of our inbound inventory pipelines for designated supplier or category portfolios. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of purchase orders while acting as the primary operational liaison for our vendors. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining efficient supply chain operations and optimizing inventory management.

What you’ll do
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of purchase orders, from initial open-to-buy receipt to final delivery.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to understand and manage constraints such as lead times, minimum order quantities, and production capacity.
  • Regularly monitor open orders and promptly escalat any discrepancies in quantities, delays, or potential at-risk receipts to the Manager.
  • Implement supply reallocations during periods of disruption or when facing constraints.
  • Maintain and report on On-Time In-Full (OTIF) metrics, highlighting any variances to the Manager.
  • Identify potential risks associated with obsolete or excess inventory and escalat these issues as necessary.
  • Keep planning systems updated with the latest supplier parameters and lead times to ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Create and distribute regular reports that include inbound pipelines, OTIF dashboards, and trackers for open orders.
  • Provide inputs for weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and perform ad hoc analyses on vendor performance metrics.
  • Serve as the primary daily contact for suppliers, addressing inquiries related to purchase order confirmations and delivery schedules.
  • Participate in vendor meetings and ensure that master data remains accurate and up to date.
  • Work closely with teams in Allocation, Merchandising, Demand Planning, and Fulfillment Centers to coordinate execution and timing effectively.
  • Contribute to Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and engage in initiatives aimed at process improvements.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with Ecommerce or Retail environments is essential.
  • Proven ability to manage the entire purchase order lifecycle, including receipt reconciliation and supplier follow-up.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a high level of proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
  • Experience in managing a high volume of supplier interactions and orders effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in summarizing data for both peers and management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities and demands.
  • An interest in AI tools and a willingness to incorporate them into daily operations.
Nice to have
  • Previous experience in the Jewelry or Fashion sector.
  • Background in managing multi-channel or multi-country supply chains.
  • Understanding of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
  • Experience in tracking supplier performance or utilizing vendor scorecards.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or other planning tools would be advantageous.
Skills & tools
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of supply planning and inventory management principles.
  • Experience in procurement processes and practices.
