Job Description

Vice President, Operations & Logistics – a senior executive responsible for end‑to‑end supply chain operations, including custom manufacturing, plant and warehouse management, and North American logistics.

• End‑to‑End Oversight: Drive corporate business strategy by linking production capacities, material handling, warehouse space optimization, and freight execution with overarching corporate objectives.
• Capacity & Demand Planning: Oversee project scope evaluations to develop manufacturing and distribution strategies, balancing temporary capacity constraints with detailed planning and logistics solutions.
• Cross‑Functional Liaison: Act as the anchor point between Sales, Design, Procurement, Production, and Logistics to manage timeline expectations, mitigate risks, and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Risk & Contingency Management: Implement and refine robust risk management systems and post‑mortem reviews to eliminate recurring quality deficiencies or shipping delays.
• Plant Manufacturing & Operational Excellence: Oversee large‑scale, multi‑shift plant operations, scheduling optimization, quality assurance, and asset & facility management.
• Freight, Logistics & Warehouse Optimization: Lead shipping, receiving, and material handling; negotiate carrier networks; maximize warehouse space; ensure regulatory compliance; and manage operational and logistics budgets.
• Talent Development & Organizational Design: Work with Human Resources to recruit, develop, and retain a high‑performing operational team; establish corporate performance frameworks and KPIs.
• Health & Safety Excellence: Sponsor the Joint Health and Safety Committee, ensuring compliance across plant floor and warehouse docks.

• Perfect Order Index: Mastery of OTIF metrics for plant production and freight delivery.
• Cost Minimization: Keep manufacturing labor, material waste, and freight costs at or below target budgets.
• Operational Readiness: Achieve minimal downtime through preventative maintenance and parts tracking.
• Space Efficiency: Maximize warehouse cubic footage and purge obsolete material.
• Safety Metrics: Maintain a zero‑incident or significantly reduced LTIR safety culture.

Candidates who demonstrate a blend of manufacturing operations and multi‑channel logistics leadership, deep industry experience in custom POP display manufacturing, and strategic and tactical execution abilities.

• 8–10+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing operations and logistics.
• Experience in custom POP display manufacturing, print/display fabrication, or heavy‑assembly environments (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or advanced professional designation is an asset).

• Advanced command of ERP, MRP, WMS, and project management software.
• Expertise in business intelligence tools, analytics, and advanced spreadsheets.
• Working knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transborder shipping regulations, customs brokerage, and carrier contract negotiation.

Target annual compensation is $150,000+ for a senior‑level candidate, with adjustments for experience and expertise.
