Position Overview

The Manager, Supply Chain & Procurement is a strategic business partner responsible for developing and executing enterprise-wide sourcing, procurement, and supply chain strategies that support operational excellence, cost optimization, and business growth.

This role leads the procurement of indirect spend categories, production consumables, capital assets, and selected operational services while ensuring continuity of supply, supplier performance, commercial value, and risk mitigation. The position is accountable for supplier selection, contract negotiations, category management, and procurement governance across national, regional, and local operations.

Working closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Maintenance, HSE, Legal, and Executive Leadership, the Manager, Supply Chain & Procurement drives strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthens supplier partnerships, improves procurement processes, and delivers measurable value across the organization.

The successful candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, exceptional relationship management skills, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders while identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, resilience, and long-term business performance.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and execute category management and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and operational requirements.
  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for indirect spend categories, including facilities, fleet services, Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) supplies, professional services, utilities, safety products, technology, and operational support services.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for production consumables to ensure supply continuity, quality, and cost competitiveness.
  • Conduct market intelligence, supplier assessments, spend analysis, RFQ/RFP processes, and total cost of ownership evaluations.
  • Negotiate national, regional, and site-specific agreements that maximize commercial value while supporting local operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, standardize suppliers, and leverage purchasing power across the organization.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives for corporate merchandise, branded apparel, promotional products, employee recognition items, onboarding materials, trade show assets, and other corporate branding requirements.
Supplier & Contract Management
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that support operational excellence and long-term business objectives.
  • Lead complex contract negotiations and collaborate with Legal to ensure appropriate commercial protections and risk mitigation.
  • Establish supplier performance management programs, including scorecards, quarterly business reviews, KPI monitoring, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with contractual commitments, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, financial stability, and risk exposure to support business continuity planning.
