Procurement Supervisor

• Pay or shift range: $90,000 CAD to $100,000 CAD

1. Production planning and scheduling (Toronto)

• Own the master production schedule and publish a weekly plan and daily run sequence.
• Sequence production to minimize changeovers.
• Maintain a rolling capacity outlook and flag constraints early enough for Operations to act.
• Define and enforce a frozen schedule window and a clear protocol for schedule changes and expedites.
• Track schedule adherence and bring root causes to the daily production meeting.
• Build planned maintenance windows into the schedule with Maintenance.
• Own work order accuracy and timely closure in Epicor (Upcoming – Future state)

2. Materials planning and inventory (Toronto)

• Ensure material availability for every scheduled run and publish a regular shortage/at-risk report.
• Own MRP (Material Requirements Planning) parameters in Epicor and review them against actual performance.
• Set and manage inventory targets by category.
• Run a regular review of slow-moving and obsolete stock with the disposition plan.
• Coordinate inbound receiving and material staging with the warehouse.
• Keep planning assumptions (yields, scrap, run rates) aligned with actuals.
• Support inventory accuracy through the cycle count program.

3. Procurement (Toronto + Markleville)

• Develop and maintain category strategies for direct materials, including approved and alternate suppliers.
• Consolidate volume across sites to maximize leverage and standardize the supplier base.
• Manage pricing mechanisms and give Finance visibility of cost movements ahead of standard cost updates.
• Manage supplier performance with scorecards and corrective action.
• Identify supply risks (single-source, long-lead) and hold mitigation plans.
• Manage cross-border logistics, duty/tariff exposure, and trade compliance for both sites.
• Support Maintenance on MRO and critical spares within procurement controls.
• Support CAPEX projects with sourcing, vendor comparison, and delivery timing tied to the production schedule.
• Maintain a tracked cost savings pipeline validated by Finance.
• Own supplier onboarding, master data, and payment-term alignment with AP.

4. Epicor ownership (Upcoming – Future State)

• Act as functional owner for the planning and purchasing modules through implementation: process design, configuration, testing, data migration, and training.
• Govern planning and purchasing master data post go-live.
• Deliver standard reporting on planning, inventory, and supplier performance.

5. Inter-site coordination - (Toronto + Markleville)

• Manage inter-company transfers of material and finished goods between sites.
• Drive standardized specs and item codes across sites.
• Hold a regular touchpoint with Markleville on shared suppliers and constraints.

6. S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) and demand interface - (Toronto + Markleville)

• Own or co-own a monthly S&OP cycle connecting Sales demand, Operations capacity, and executive decisions.
• Track forecast accuracy with Sales and translate forecast into the planning signal in Epicor.
• Provide realistic order promise dates based on actual capacity and material.

7. Continuous improvement (Toronto + Markleville)

• Lead planning- and procurement-driven improvement initiatives: changeover reduction, inventory and lead-time reduction, SKU rationalization, supplier cost-outs.
• Report results with clean cost/quality/productivity attribution.

8. KPIs (Toronto + Markleville)

• Owns: schedule adherence, material-driven downtime, raw material inventory levels, obsolete inventory, supplier OTIF, purchase price variance, open PO aging, savings delivered.
• Shared: customer OTIF, changeover hours, forecast accuracy, inventory accuracy.
