** The Senior Consultant, POP Procurement
** leads the full procurement lifecycle for POP signage and related in-store marketing materials across Canadian Tire Retail and Party City. Working closely with the Manager, POP Procurement, this role develops and executes sourcing strategies, manages competitive sourcing and commercial negotiations, oversees contract and purchase governance, and strengthens supplier performance to deliver the right products and services at the right cost, quality, service level, and timeline.  

The role also serves as a key business partner to In-Store Marketing, Merchandising, POP Line Review, Non-Merch Procurement, and external suppliers. It connects procurement strategy with disciplined execution, provides leadership on escalations, develops actionable reporting, and drives continuous improvement across POP programs.# #
** What you'll do:**  ## End-to-End Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
* Lead full-cycle procurement activities from business requirement intake and demand planning through sourcing strategy, supplier selection, contract execution, purchase governance, and supplier Performance management.
* Partner with In-Store Marketing and POP Line Review teams to understand upcoming requirements and develop procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, service, risk, and speed to market.
* Lead competitive sourcing activities, including RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, commercial analysis, recommendations, and vendor selection.
* Lead or support supplier negotiations and contract discussions, ensuring commercial terms align with business objectives and enterprise procurement standards.
* Maximize value through approved suppliers and contractual agreements, while identifying opportunities for cost savings, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, and demand optimization.
* Monitor market conditions, industry dynamics, and supply chain risks, and develop mitigation strategies where required.  ## Supplier, Contract & Performance Management
* Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships across the POP vendor network.
* Ensure supplier compliance with contractual obligations, procurement policies, service expectations, and operational requirements.
* Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, scorecards, service-level agreements, business reviews, and issue tracking.
* Partner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality, service, delivery, capacity, and commercial issues while driving accountability and continuous improvement.
* Serve as the primary escalation point for procurement-related issues and coordinate timely, cross-functional resolution.  ## Business Partnership & Program Delivery
* Act as the central procurement partner across Merchandising, In-Store Marketing, POP Line Review, Non-Merch Procurement, and external suppliers.
* Translate business requirements into clear sourcing specifications, procurement plans, timelines, and supplier deliverables.
* Coordinate multiple work streams to ensure priorities, requirements, decisions, and dependencies are understood and executed effectively.
* Provide procurement guidance to stakeholders, balancing strategic objectives with hands-on execution in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Coach and support Analysts in forecasting, reporting, procurement governance, vendor management, contract compliance, and procurement administration.  ## Reporting, Insights & Financial Management
* Analyze procurement spend, sourcing outcomes, supplier performance, service levels, timelines, risks, and variances to identify opportunities and recommend action.
* Prepare executive-ready business reviews, savings updates, performance summaries, presentations, and decision materials for senior leadership.
* Support annual planning, budgeting, forecasting, savings tracking, and target development.
* Consolidate information from multiple sources into clear, accurate, and actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional partners.  ## Continuous Improvement & Governance
* Identify and implement process improvements that simplify workflows, strengthen governance, improve stakeholder experience, and increase procurement efficiency.
* Support the development and documentation of procurement processes, procedures, controls, and governance standards.
* Champion new tools, best practices, and ways of working that improve service, supplier accountability, risk management, and business outcomes.
