We are currently seeking a Live-In Superintendent to join our operations team at our newly acquired Weston Road community in North York. This hands‑on role is well suited for an experienced and dependable property management professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a community of more than 200 residents.
Responsibilities- Respond to routine and urgent maintenance requests from residents in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform general maintenance, repairs, and adjustments to building systems, suites, and common areas.
- Support the ongoing upkeep and safe operation of property amenities, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and repairs.
- Assist with seasonal property operations, including landscaping and snow removal.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe.
- Work collaboratively with site staff, management, and external vendors as required.
- Adhere to all workplace health & safety policies and report safety hazards to management.
- 2+ years of experience in property maintenance, building operations, or facilities support role.
- Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and access to your own vehicle.
- General understanding of residential building systems (e.g., kitchen & bathroom fixtures, doors, appliances, lighting).
- Physically capable of performing routine manual tasks, including bending, kneeling, lifting, and extended periods of walking.
- Functional English verbal communication skills.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
- Ability to provide professional references and have a proven record of reliable work attendance.
- All work will be completed at Weston Road, North York, Ontario, M9N 1YZ
. - Maintenance staff are required to supply their own basic tools; specialty tools will be provided by the employer.
- This role requires continuous on‑call availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to address emergency situations and urgent resident needs.
- Base salary: $40,000 – $45,000 per year.
- Yearly salary based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job‑related requirements.
- Residential unit valued at an estimated market rate of $2,000–$2,400 per month.
- Comprehensive health, dental, and prescription drug coverage for employees and dependents.
- Two weeks of paid vacation annually – starting on day one.
