General Maintenance Technician

Position: After Hours General Maintenance Technician
Join Akelius as a General Maintenance Technician in Toronto, working from 5pm to 1am. Manage repairs, preventative maintenance, and address emergencies while maintaining excellent customer service.

This role reports to an experienced Property Manager and focuses on both minor and major maintenance requests across multi-family communities. For candidates with over three years in mechanical repair, this position provides an opportunity to work on diverse tasks, including plumbing and electrical emergencies and preparing apartments for new tenants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to electrical, plumbing, and appliance emergencies

• Conduct daily repair tasks and upkeep for properties

• Complete residential maintenance requests on time

• Prepare turnover repairs for vacant apartments

• Manage ground maintenance, including snow removal

Requirements:

• Three years of building maintenance experience

• Proficient in hand and power tools

• Strong knowledge of building systems

• Ability to work after hours as needed

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
