Position: Custodian Role Available at Covenant House
Covenant House Toronto invites applications for a full-time Custodian position focused on maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of various organizational areas. This onsite position operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Custodian will be responsible for comprehensive cleaning tasks within common areas, washrooms, and offices. Candidates should have a solid understanding of cleaning techniques and be physically able to handle tasks such as lifting and climbing stairs. Attention to detail and routine adherence are crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize washrooms and offices

• Dust and empty garbage in all areas

• Handle cooking and laundry areas cleaning

• Water plants and polish woodwork as needed

• Document daily tasks and report any maintenance issues

Requirements:

• Understanding of housekeeping practices and chemicals

• Minimum Grade 12 education and communication skills

• Knowledge of WHMIS and computer use

• Capability to lift 25 lbs and navigate stairs

• Regular weekday availability from Monday to Friday
