Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Janitorial Supervisor for the 2nd shift to oversee daily cleaning operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid background in custodial and commercial cleaning, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional setting for staff and visitors alike. The Janitorial Supervisor will ensure that cleaning standards are met consistently while supervising staff, scheduling tasks, and maintaining operational efficiency.

• Supervise and coordinate daily janitorial activities on the 2nd shift to ensure cleanliness standards are upheld.
• Assign cleaning tasks to team members and monitor their performance for quality assurance.
• Train new custodial staff on proper cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Foster a positive team environment by providing guidance, support, and feedback to staff members.
• Ensure all cleaning activities are completed efficiently within scheduled time frames.

• Proven custodial or commercial cleaning experience is required, with previous supervisory or leadership roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and management.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate staff to achieve high standards of cleanliness and professionalism.
