Casual Janitor at Baycrest Hospital

As part of the Environmental Services Department, you will execute key cleaning responsibilities to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff. The janitorial role requires attention to detail and a commitment to infection control practices to support our clinical excellence in aging and brain health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean carpets using steam cleaning and shampooing methods

• Operate floor stripping and buffing machines effectively

• Perform terminal cleaning for patient rooms and washrooms

• Manage waste disposal and linen delivery efficiently

• Set up meeting rooms and special events as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Prior housekeeping experience preferred

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to lift items up to 23 kgs

• Willingness to work in various weather conditions
