Metro Building Operator

Join the Metro Toronto Convention Centre as a Building Operator focused on ensuring the efficiency and reliability of building systems. This role combines technical support with proactive maintenance strategies for client comfort.

As part of a dedicated team, the Building Operator reports to the Senior Engineering Manager and plays a crucial role in the operations and maintenance of HVAC and life safety systems. You will execute scheduled maintenance programs, assist tradespersons, and coordinate with internal and external teams to enhance building functionality. The emphasis on safety compliance and documentation is vital for this position.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain building systems
• Conduct routine inspections and repairs
• Utilize CMMS for service management
• Provide updates to management on operations
• Support energy management initiatives

• 5+ years of experience in building maintenance
• Completion of BES program or equivalent
• Knowledge of air distribution systems
• Robust communication abilities
• Experience with heating and cooling controls
