Light Duty Cleaner, Part-Time- 2nd shift

Job Summary

The Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties for C&W Services. Duties will be performed in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services.

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Use light and heavy commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines (with attachments).
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo rugs when directed.
• Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces; perform periodic high‑dusting.
• Wash windowsills; clean glass on interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors; wash/spot‑clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily; damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, sweep/mop/scrub floors.
• Monitor for defects such as clogged urinals and lights out; report to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and deliver to designated collection area.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications.
• Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic work: high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, wall washing.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

• No previous experience required.
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including a portable backpack vacuum cleaner.
• Attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.

Pay: $17.60 – $19.90 CAD hourly. Compensation will be based on factors such as collective bargaining agreement coverage, geographic area, market pay rates, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
