Parks and Facilities Maintenance Floater

Join Norfolk County as a Parks and Facilities Maintenance Floater, ensuring our community spaces are clean and welcoming. You will perform hands-on maintenance tasks in parks, arenas, and pools throughout Simcoe, ON.

As a key member of the Parks, Recreation, and Culture department, your role involves keeping Norfolk County's facilities in prime condition. You will execute various operational and maintenance tasks like ice surface maintenance, facility repairs, and general cleaning. Your efforts will directly support a vibrant community and enhance residents' experiences in municipal spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain ice surfaces, including resurfacing and painting lines

• Perform general repairs in community facilities

• Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance duties

• Ensure preventative maintenance procedures are followed

• Assist with programs and equipment setup for events

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion or GED equivalent

• Over two years of relevant experience

• Basic Arena Refrigeration certification (or willing to obtain)

• Valid Ontario driver’s license

• Familiarity with Occupational Health and Safety standards
