Part Time Custodian at St. Gabriel’s

Join St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church as a part time Custodian focusing on building maintenance and cleaning duties. This role requires physical strength and flexibility in scheduling.

This position involves up to 19 hours per week, with potential for full time conversion. You will manage custodial tasks, including cleaning the church, maintaining premises, and setting up event spaces. A solid understanding of industrial cleaning methods and equipment is essential for ensuring a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sweep, vacuum, clean, and dust all church areas

• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens, sacristy, and appliances

• Dispose of garbage and manage waste collection schedules

• Wash and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures and sinks

• Conduct safety walkabouts of church grounds

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment

• Good physical condition for lifting up to 50 lbs

• Flexibility for work assignments outside regular hours

• Previous experience in a parish is preferred

• Criminal background check required
