Macaulay Centres Child Care Caretaker

Join Macaulay Centres as a Child Care Caretaker and support a nurturing environment at Jane St. Child Care Centre in Toronto. Help uphold high cleanliness and maintenance standards daily.

In this part-time role, you'll work 5.5 hours from 4pm to 10pm, focusing on creating a safe and tidy atmosphere for children and families. Tasks include cleaning the centre, managing external grounds, and performing necessary repairs. By adhering to health regulations, you will contribute significantly to community well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish a safe environment inside and outside the Centre

• Clean and sanitize all areas including washrooms

• Maintain playgrounds and ensure safety measures are in place

• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks

• Oversee inventory and storage of supplies

Requirements:

• Significant handyperson experience

• Understanding of Ontario health regulations

• WHMIS certification and knowledge of green practices

• Able to communicate in more than one language is an asset

• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Police Reference Check
