Job DescriptionPosition Overview :
Seeking a House Assistant for a residence located in Toronto. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the residence, alongside taking care of daily meal preparation and running errands as needed. This position is full-time, live-out. Work hours are generally between 10am - 6pm, Monday - Friday, with some flexibility required.
Candidate Profile :
You are an experienced and knowledgeable housekeeping professional with excellent cooking skills who enjoys keeping a clean and organized home. You understand how to communicate clearly with your principals, and are comfortable working independently in an environment with children. You understand a home is a living environment, not just a workplace, and can easily adjust your daily schedule to accommodate activities in the residence.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Manage daily meal preparation, focusing on nutritious family-style dinners and snacks
- Execute daily light housekeeping duties, including bed-making, kitchen maintenance, and general tidying
- Support household scheduling and organizational systems
- Manage school pickups and transportation to after-school activities for the children
- Monitor and replenish household inventory, including groceries and cleaning supplies
- Provide basic wardrobe management and organizational support for all family members
- Offer occasional childcare support as needed
- Uphold and follow household security protocols
- Supervise waste management, including recycling, compost, and garbage disposal
- Minimum five years of experience in a private household setting
- Strong cooking skills; proven ability to prepare family meals from scratch with provided recipes
- Good communication skills and professional personal presentation
- Detail-oriented
- Strong and confident driver
- Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills; correct use of products and methods for fine finishes and surfaces
- Commitment to privacy and confidentiality, maintaining professional boundaries at all times
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Possession of a valid full G driver’s license; a car will be provided
