Facilities Management Specialist

Position: Facilities Management Specialist Beanfield
Contribute to Beanfield’s mission as a Facilities Management Specialist, focusing on enhancing our network's reliability through effective hardware management. This role includes site surveys and installations.

As a Facilities Specialist, you will oversee the lifecycle of Point of Presence (POP) sites, ensuring all hardware installations meet stringent standards for uptime and performance. This position requires a hands-on approach to managing power systems, cooling units, and cabling while coordinating with various contractors to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage deployment and upgrades of POP installations

• Supervise critical facility systems including HVAC and power

• Conduct site audits for safety and compliance

• Document site conditions and maintain accurate records

• Plan for capacity expansions based on utilization

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years in telecom or data center management

• Strong understanding of DC power and fiber optic standards

• Ability to manage multiple installations simultaneously

• Travel to sites with physical requirements up to 50 lbs.

• Skilled in using AutoCAD for floor plans and diagrams
