The Head of Production oversees the health, performance, and evolution of Tendril’s production ecosystem. They balance delivery excellence, financial performance, team wellbeing, and studio-wide production standards. Rather than managing projects directly, they design the systems that enable success; defining structure, workflows, and guardrails so Producers can thrive. This role focuses on identifying patterns, anticipating pressure points, and driving systemic solutions that elevate how the studio delivers creative work.
The Opportunity
Lead the health, performance, and evolution of Tendril’s production function in alignment with studio strategy and goals.
Define and refine production standards, workflows, and rhythms to ensure consistent, efficient delivery across all projects.
Champion delivery excellence; balancing creative ambition, commercial performance, and team wellbeing.
Own studio-level margin health and use data insights to guide forecasting, resourcing, and profitability decisions.
Spot systemic risks early and intervene proactively to protect delivery integrity and team sustainability.
Partner with Executive Producers, Sales, and Creative Leadership to ensure projects are scoped, sold, and set up for success.
Shape the Production team’s organizational structure, roles, and career pathways to build long-term capability and growth.
Lead hiring, mentorship, and development of Producer’s talent, fostering a calm, credible, and high-performing team culture.
Establish clear escalation paths and decision frameworks that empower Producers and improve communication flow.
Represent production at the leadership level, contributing operational insight to strategic and creative planning.

How you’ve identified systemic pressure points before they’ve become crises, and examples of mitigating risk across multiple projects.
