The Strategic Pursuit Centre (SPC) at BDO is seeking a Manager to support strategic opportunities across public and private sector markets as well as lead a small team of pursuit professionals.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Pursuit Centre, this replacement role combines people leadership, pursuit management excellence, operational oversight, and process improvement. The successful candidate will oversee complex pursuits, coach and develop team members, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and partner with stakeholders across the firm to enhance pursuit effectiveness, improve service delivery, and support BDO's growth strategy.

Lead the end-to-end pursuit management process for complex, strategic, and high-value opportunities. Provide RFx analysis, pursuit strategy, proposal planning, compliance reviews, and submission oversight. Partner with service line leaders, partners, and subject matter experts to develop compelling and differentiated proposals. Support oral presentations, pursuit debriefs, and lessons learned activities to continuously improve outcomes. Ensure all deliverables meet BDO quality standards and align with firm branding, messaging, and pursuit best practices.

Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of 2-4 pursuit professionals. Conduct performance management, career development discussions, and ongoing coaching to support employee growth and engagement. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture aligned with BDO values. Support recruitment, onboarding, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.

Identify and implement opportunities to improve pursuit processes, workflows, tools, templates, and service delivery models. Champion the adoption of technology, automation, AI-enabled tools, and leading practices that improve efficiency and proposal quality. Participate in strategic planning initiatives that enhance SPC service offerings, operating models, and team effectiveness.

Serve as a trusted advisor to pursuit teams and business stakeholders across the firm. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Business Development, Design, and Industry teams to deliver an exceptional internal client experience. Build strong relationships across the organization to increase awareness, adoption, and effectiveness of SPC services.
