Become a driving force for equity as a Senior Manager at the University of Waterloo. Influence EDI goals and enhance inclusivity across the research landscape.
In this full-time temporary role, the Senior Manager for Research Equity will take charge of EDI initiatives tied to research funding and development. Reporting to the Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity, you will evaluate current practices and lead the Canada Research Chairs’ Equity Action Plan. Collaboration with various university departments will be crucial for the role’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Steer the strategic vision for the Research Equity portfolio
• Evaluate and enhance EDI-related initiatives
• Provide expertise and guidance on equity matters
• Identify and pursue collaboration opportunities in research
• Assess effectiveness of equity practices and initiatives
Requirements:
• Master’s degree or equivalent training
• 5+ years in EDI and project management
• 3 years of direct staff management experience
• Experience with high-level organizational change
• Skills in data analysis and report preparation
