Director Individual Insurance Portfolio Management

Lead Individual Insurance portfolio management at Equitable in hybrid Waterloo, guiding strategic delivery, governance, resources, and project outcomes.

As Director, Individual Portfolio Management, you will shape the project portfolio around divisional objectives and annual plans. You will partner with senior leaders, lead Project Managers and Business Analysts, and support sales, expense, and inforce retention goals. The position combines portfolio governance, resource planning, program oversight, and people leadership across the organization.

• Lead Individual Insurance portfolio planning, management, and execution
• Establish and monitor objectives and key results with senior leaders
• Chair portfolio steering committee meetings and report portfolio health
• Oversee initiative intake, prioritization, and strategic alignment
• Lead, coach, and manage Project Managers and Business Analysts

• Degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent discipline
• Minimum 10 years insurance or financial services experience
• Minimum 5 years direct people leadership experience
• Experience with agile, waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies
• Strong executive communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
