The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group is seeking two accomplished directors to join its Board of Directors as part of an important period of Board renewal. As one of Ontario's leading mutual insurers, The Commonwell is committed to serving rural communities, farms, businesses and individuals through a member focused approach grounded in trust, service and long-term stewardship. These appointments offer an opportunity to help shape the future of a financially strong, values driven organization.

The Board currently possesses significant strength in financial oversight, insurance expertise, business leadership and governance. Building on these capabilities, the Board is seeking two complementary directors whose experience will enhance its collective perspective and support the organization's long term strategic priorities.

The first appointment will strengthen the Board's understanding of its core membership and policyholder base. The ideal candidate will be a senior business leader with experience in agriculture, agri food, manufacturing, industrial operations or another operationally intensive sector. This individual will bring a strong understanding of rural Ontario, agricultural and commercial enterprises, and experience leading complex organizations through growth, operational excellence or business transformation.

The second appointment will strengthen the Board's perspective on future growth, market competitiveness and long-term financial stewardship. The Board seeks an accomplished business leader with experience in insurance, financial services, banking, wealth management, investment management or another commercially driven industry. The successful candidate will bring experience leading growth, enterprise transformation or capital allocation initiatives, together with strong commercial judgement and an understanding of evolving distribution models and long-term value creation.

Experience in broker distribution, managing general agencies or property and casualty insurance would be considered an asset.

Both candidates will possess exceptional integrity, sound judgement and an independent governance mindset. They will bring executive and or board level leadership experience, a collaborative approach, and the confidence to provide thoughtful oversight while constructively challenging management. Most importantly, they will share a commitment to the principles of mutuality and to serving the members and communities that have been at the heart of The Commonwell's success.
