One of our clients in GTA region is looking for a Continuous Improvement Manager for their facility.
Key Responsibilities- Lead continuous improvement projects across mixing, proofing, baking, packaging, and distribution processes.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, waste, and performance gaps.
- Implement Lean manufacturing tools (5S, VSM, Kaizen, SMED) to improve plant efficiency.
- Standardize processes, develop SOPs, and ensure adherence across all shifts.
- Partner with QA, Maintenance, Production, and Sanitation teams to enhance product quality and reduce downtime.
- Support automation initiatives and evaluate new production technologies.
- Train supervisors and operators on CI methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for defects, quality issues, and equipment-related losses.
- Monitor KPIs such as yield, OEE, scrap, downtime, labor efficiency, and on-time delivery.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and on-floor engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations, or related field.
- 3–5+ years CI/Lean experience in the food manufacturing industry.
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred).
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and project management.
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
