We are seeking a motivated Junior Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team in a fast-paced, high-speed meat processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or early-career maintenance professional with strong mechanical aptitude who is eager to grow within industrial equipment maintenance and food manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-speed processing and packaging equipment
• Perform basic mechanical repairs (bearings, belts, chains, motors, gearboxes, conveyors)
• Support preventative maintenance (PM) programs to reduce downtime
• Respond to equipment breakdowns under guidance of senior technicians
• Assist with changeovers, setups, and production line adjustments
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and parts records
• Perform lubrication, inspections, and machinery adjustments
• Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies
• Maintain a clean, organized work area
• Participate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs
What We’re Looking For
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic mechanical skills
• Comfortable working around high-speed industrial equipment
• Knowledge of tools, fasteners, belts, bearings, and basic mechanical systems
• Willingness to learn industrial maintenance best practices
• Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols
• Comfortable working in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments
• Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as required
• Team player with good communication skills
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in confined spaces
Preferred (Not Required)
• Technical diploma, trade school, or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance or mechanics
• Experience in food or meat processing
• Exposure to high-speed production equipment
• Basic knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, or electrical systems
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and food safety standards (GMP, HACCP)
Work Environment
• Meat processing facility with high-speed production lines
• Cold, wet, and noisy conditions
• Exposure to raw meat products
• Required PPE: gloves, ear protection, steel-toe boots, protective clothing
