About the Role
The Manufacturing Technician – Assembly & Optical Assembly position is responsible for highly complex opto-mechanical assembly including aligning and bonding optical components. Operation of various precision optical equipment to assemble lenses with sound technical problem-solving skills. They perform final inspection of complicated optical elements and assemblies.
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret complex mechanical and optical schematics, ensuring precise execution of assembly, integration and testing proceduresExecute
- Assemble, test, operation, and troubleshooting of complex optical mechanical assemblies following all established manufacturing processes and procedures in alignment with AS9100 standardsDiagnose and troubleshoot optical and mechanical components, including but not limited to lens and lens assemblies, motors, sensors and wire harness assemblies, to ensure optimal system performance and reliabilityInvestigate and resolve faults by collaborating with senior technicians and engineers, contributing to continuous product development and process improvementEffectively manage multiple priorities, balancing assembly, testing, and troubleshooting tasks to meet critical project timelines and production goalsEngage in cross-functional collaboration, work closely with Operation Engineers, production teams, and management to tackle complex technical challenges and drive innovative solutionsEnsuring meticulous documentation, maintaining detailed records of maintenance, test results, troubleshooting efforts and implemented solutions.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies in processes, recommending enhancements, and implementing best practices to optimize performance and workflow efficiency.Required Capabilities
Technical Proficiency – Strong ability to read and interpret optical & mechanical drawings and test proceduresSystem Integration Expertise – Experience in assembling, configuring, and testing complex opto-mechanical or electro-mechanical systemsTroubleshooting & Diagnostics – Skilled in identifying, analyzing and resolving optical and mechanical issuesStrong Collaboration & Communication – Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with engineers, production teams and management.
