Réalis is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to join and lead our growing Healthcare Electrical Engineering team in Ontario. This is a strategic leadership role within our Mechanical & Electrical Practice, focused on delivering high-impact healthcare infrastructure projects across the province and beyond. You will guide a talented team of engineers and designers, drive technical excellence, and foster strong client relationships while contributing to the growth and success of our healthcare portfolio.

Réalis has contributed to some of Canada’s most transformative projects, including:
** Vaudreuil-Soulanges Hospital (QC):
Currently the largest new hospital project under construction in Quebec, this $2.6B facility will feature 404 beds, 11 operating rooms, and a 41-stretcher emergency department.
* Mount Sinai Hospital – Women’s & Infants Health Program (Phases 1 &
2).
* Expansion of the Sainte-Justine Hospital Centre – Grandir en Santé.
* Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Modernization (QC):
Expansion of one of Quebec’s largest hospitals with 720 beds and advanced M&E systems.
* CHUM – Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (QC):
Long-term operations and maintenance contract for one of the largest hospitals in Quebec.

** Your role
*** Technical & Project Leadership:
** Lead the design and delivery of complex electrical building systems for healthcare facilities including hospitals, long-term care homes, and specialized medical buildings.
* Oversee systems such as power supply and emergency distribution, lighting, fire alarm, nurse call, communications, and security.
* Ensure technical excellence and compliance with codes (OBC, NBC) and standards.
* Apply project management principles to ensure timely and accurate project execution.
* Team Development & Mentorship:
** Mentor and coach engineers and designers, supporting their career development and technical growth.
* Recruit and onboard new team members, conduct performance reviews, and facilitate training opportunities.
* Ensure quality assurance and consistency across all deliverables.
* Client Engagement & Business Development:
** Represent Atkins
Réalis in client meetings, industry events, conferences, and technical committees.
* Support proposal development, strategic planning, and market growth initiatives.
* Maintain and grow relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
* Cross-Regional
Collaboration:
** Collaborate with healthcare teams across Canada—including Québec, British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Atlantic regions—to share best practices, harmonize technical standards, and build a strong national technical community.
* Participate in national knowledge-sharing forums and contribute to the development of innovative, scalable solutions for healthcare infrastructure.##
** About you
*** Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical building systems design, with at least 10 years in healthcare projects.
* Registered Professional Engineer (PEO).
* Experience with AutoCAD and BIM (Revit) is an asset.
* Proven experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and managing complex healthcare projects.
* Experience with collaborative model (IPD, Alliance, Progressive DB) projects is an asset.
* Strong understanding of healthcare facility operations and infrastructure requirements.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.##
