Candidates should bring extensive experience in manual machining, ideally 7 to 8 years. The role emphasizes precision and accuracy, particularly in working with boat bearings and custom components. Proficiency in trigonometry and measurement tools is critical for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform precision machining on boat bearings
• Operate manual lathes for parts up to 16” diameter
• Maintain strict tolerances of +/-0.001” on all components
• Execute machining operations on horizontal boring mills
Requirements:
• 7 to 8 years of experience as a machine operator
• Strong skills in reading blueprints and machining tasks
• Experience with micrometers and pie tapes for measurement
• General Machinist Ticket preferred or equivalent
