Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

SalaryStarting Rate: $36.01/hour (fixed & non-negotiable)
Shift8-hr / COP Schedule | All shifts required
What You'll DoYou’ll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding complex machinery and mechanical equipment. Your day-to-day will include:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment using blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
- Diagnosing mechanical issues through visual, auditory, and operational inspections
- Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling machinery components
- Maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems
- Performing preventive maintenance and supporting production changeovers
- Using ERP systems to maintain accurate maintenance records
- Collaborating closely with Maintenance, Production, and Plant leadership
- Following all safety, GMP, food safety, and quality standards
- Valid Ontario Industrial Millwright License
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- 2–3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine tools
- Ability to pass a technical/mechanical aptitude test
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, climbing, standing, temperature variation)
This is a unionized position, and union membership is mandatory upon successful completion of the probationary period.
- The role follows an 8‑hour / COP schedule
- Availability for all shifts is required
- Shifts are assigned based on union seniority and existing preferences
