Seasonal General Production – Nestlé Canada Confectionery, Sterling Road Factory, Toronto, Ontario.
Role is an 8‑hour shift, contract position starting immediately and ending October 30, 2026. Reports to the Production Team Leader and may require open availability, including weekends, to support business needs. Up to 40 hours per week with an hourly rate of $19.
Day in the Life- Perform general production tasks, which may involve repetitive bending, pushing, twisting, pulling, lifting, and machine operation.
- Carry out cleaning duties, including equipment, facility, and washroom maintenance.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality policies, accident prevention, and compliance programs.
- Work varied shifts with possible overtime, including weekends.
- Follow plant quality standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives.
- High school diploma or equivalent (verification required upon selection).
- Credentials obtained outside Canada must be evaluated for Canadian equivalence as a condition of employment.
- 1–3 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience is an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to understand job specifications and procedures.
- Mechanical inclination and basic mathematics proficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑motivated and safety‑ and quality‑conscious, requiring minimal supervision.
- Understand and promote safety, environmental, and quality policies.
- Participate actively in continuous improvement activities.
- Comply with ISO 14001 environmental and OHSAS 18001 safety requirements.
- Build constructive relationships and respect all colleagues.
- Communicate ideas, opinions, and information articulately and professionally.
- Adapt to changing conditions or priorities.
- Initiate problem identification and lead by example.
