Harris as a CNC Optical Technician on the Afternoon Shift in Toronto, Ontario. This role focuses on generating and polishing precision lenses using advanced CNC optics technology.
As a Level A CNC Optical Technician, you will work with precision optical components, including collaboration with engineers and production teams. Your responsibilities include interpreting schematics, executing grinding and polishing following strict AS9100 standards, and troubleshooting complex optical components. You'll contribute directly to product development and process optimization while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret complex optical and mechanical schematics
• Execute grinding and polishing of optical components
• Troubleshoot spherical and aspheric optical components
• Collaborate with engineers for technical challenges
• Maintain meticulous documentation of processes
Requirements:
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary
• Skilled in assembling complex opto-mechanical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics expertise
• Effective communication skills for team collaboration
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs safely
