EHS Coordinator

Position: Join Ventura Foods as EHS Coordinator
Elevate the EHS standards at Ventura Foods in Toronto as an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator. This full-time, onsite role entails implementing safety initiatives and enhancing workplace health standards.

In this position, you will report to the EHS Manager, focusing on the development and promotion of an effective safety culture. Major duties include conducting risk assessments, managing safety databases, and running employee training programs. Your efforts will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a proactive safety environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and foster a robust EHS culture in the workplace

• Implement and manage safety control procedures

• Analyze incidents and prepare reports with follow-up actions

• Develop comprehensive training programs for staff

• Oversee contractor safety management system

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in EHS roles

• Post-secondary education and safety certification required

• Familiarity with occupational safety regulations

• Manufacturing experience is a plus

• Must be open to some travel within North America
