As a Senior Fabrication Technologist, you will report to the Lead Structural Test Engineer and play a pivotal role in developing innovative solutions. Your expertise in conventional and CNC machining will support faculty and students in creating custom components and improving workflows. This position offers a chance to ensure efficient operation of a fully equipped machine shop and robotic system.
Key Responsibilities:
• Determine fabrication project requirements and solutions
• Design and fabricate custom machine parts and lab apparatus
• Create and oversee technical drawings and CAD models
• Implement process improvements to enhance lab efficiency
• Coordinate routine maintenance of workshop equipment
Requirements:
• College Diploma or equivalent experience
• Over eight years of related experience, with 5 years in fabrication
• Advanced machining skills with CNC and manual equipment
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and robot programming
• Strong troubleshooting and safety knowledge
