** JOB DESCRIPTION
** Pay Range: $48,000 - $53,000
* HACCP / SQF Programs
* Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures
* Pest Control
* Good Manufacturing Practices
* Approved Supplier Program (raw material audits)
* Foreign Material Control
* Allergen Program management
* Plant Sanitation
* Chemical Control
* Product Quality Assurance (this involves sample preparation, cook test, visual, organoleptic and possibly tasting of products) – candidate must be able to eat meat and fish/seafood products
* Product quality (visual standards, label standards, adherence to specifications)
* FSQA Customer Complaints review and answer
* Food Defense and Security
* Assist in Employee Training of FSQA Programs, Policies and Procedures
* Assist in Implementation of Independent FSQA Audit Program – SQF Audits
* Provide assistance when necessary for product evaluations, plant visits, and supplier/customer communication to assist other staff members.
* Assist as needed in any manner capable of during emergency situations the plant GM determines are paramount to the business
* Secondary contact for food regulatory agencies (specifically CFIA)
* Finished product specifications
* Obtaining raw material ingredient specifications
* Assist in completion of other QA Department functions
* Available to work flexible hours as needed by the business
* Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
* Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
* Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
* Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
