NordSpace Composite Manufacturing Specialist

Join Nord Space as a Composite Manufacturing Specialist, dedicated to transforming aerospace design into tangible flight components. This hands-on role is essential in producing composite parts for the Tundra launch vehicle.

You'll work directly with the Structures team to manage the entire composite manufacturing process, from layups to quality assurance. Collaborate with engineers to refine designs for manufacturability and support the rigorous testing processes of aerospace components. This position plays a key role in achieving rapid innovation in cutting-edge aerospace technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute precise hand layups and assist in automated fiber placement

• Prepare molds for vacuum infusion and monitor curing cycles

• Demold and machine composite parts for integration

• Provide manufacturability feedback to design engineers

• Manage workspace inventory and maintain equipment

Requirements:

• Certificate or diploma in Composites Manufacturing

• 1-4 years experience in relevant manufacturing roles

• Practical experience with CNC and hand tools

• Strong understanding of composite materials and protocols

• Detail-oriented with a focus on flight safety
